We love Ice cream

Ummmmmm – Ice Cream

ÍSBUÐ VESTURBÆJAR

We Icelanders loveIce Cream.  Winter, spring, summer of fall it does not matter.

Ice Cream is an all year treat, no matter how cold it is outside it is always time for Ice Cream

We wanted to share a few of our favourite Ice Cream places around Reykjavik

Our all time favourite is Ísbúð Vesturbæjar.

Here you get to choose from the “old” ice cream or the “new” Icecream

The “old” ice cream is more watery and colder and the “new” ice cream is more creamy.

Personally we love the “old” ice cream.

They also serve a good variety of dippings, chocolate, luxurious chocolate, caramel and liquorice

and on top of the dippings you can have all kind of curls, coconut, rice crispies, liquorice etc

You can also try a “Bragðarefur” Tastefox if you translate it, here you can mix ice cream with fruits and sweets and it is blended together.
It is very common to go for Ice cream after the the swimming pool, ( Vesturbæjarsundlaug)

An other one of our favourite is Valdís down by the harbour VALDIS ICECREAM

Valdís offer various flavours of Ice cream and also the regular soft ice cream.
They have Gelato and Sorbet that is made right there in the shop.

They also have some delicious Vegan Ice cream

Valdís, Grandagarði 21, 101 Reykjavík

The colourful Old Reykjavík Harbour is fast becoming a new boom area of the city and a lively centre of activities and attractions.
